Children's Play Therapy
When Words Are Hard, Play Speaks Loudest.

PLAY THERAPY FOR CHILDREN AGED 3-9 YEARS
Big Feelings, Safe Spaces.
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate, evidence-based approach that helps children express thoughts and feelings through play—their natural language. Instead of relying solely on words, play therapy uses toys, art, and creative activities as tools for communication, but the heart of the process is the therapeutic relationship between the child and the therapist. Healing happens in the context of trust, acceptance, and connection.

HELPING KIDS FEEL SEEN, HEARD AND SAFE
My Treatment Approach
As a child-centered play therapist, I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing. I begin by creating a structured environment that fosters unconditional positive regard, where your child feels fully accepted without judgment.
Using mindful awareness, I attune to the child’s emotional state and observe the themes that emerge in their play. These patterns often reveal underlying needs, struggles, and strengths. By “being with” the child in their play—rather than directing or controlling it—I strive to see the world through their eyes. This deep presence allows me to support the child’s natural capacity for growth and help them experience, wholeheartedly, a positive sense of self. Additionally, I provide tailored feedback and guidance to the adults in the child's life so that they may experience greater delight, joy and enhanced connection with their child.
In this process, toys and creative materials serve as the words of the child. How they play is their language, but the true agent of change is the safe, empathic relationships built with the child.
