Scope of Services
I provide psychotherapy (therapy) to individuals and families, in person or via secure telehealth.
-
Therapy is not legal, or financial advice.
-
Coaching services are separate and not governed by this policy.
-
I provide therapy only to clients physically located in Texas or New Mexico at the time of service, per licensure requirements.
Licensure
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico. Therapy services are offered only to clients physically present in one of these states during sessions.
Eligibility & Intake
Services begin after intake forms, informed consent, and scheduling. You must be 18+ or a legal guardian consenting for a minor. I reserve the right to accept, pause, or terminate services based on clinical judgment and ethics.
In-Person Sessions
-
Location: if in-person will be determined on a case by case basis and as allowed.
-
Arrive 5–10 minutes early
-
Health & Safety: Reschedule or switch to telehealth if ill
-
Privacy: No recording; confidentiality is maintained according to laws. See Notice of Privacy Practices for more information.
Telehealth Sessions
-
Secure platforms are used by provider.
-
Risks: Technology interruptions can occur as can unauthorized access.
-
Your responsibilities: Private space, stable internet, confirm location in TX or NM. Do not share your link or portal log in information.
-
Emergency plan: You agree to provide and update address and emergency contact information in the event of an emergency.
-
Some services may be less effective via telehealth. Should I determine that your needs require a higher level of care or could be better met through in-person services, I will discuss this with you and provide referrals if needed.
Confidentiality & HIPAA
I protect your health information as required by law. Limits include:
-
Risk of harm to self/others
-
Suspected abuse or neglect
-
Court orders/subpoenas
-
As allowed by federal and state law.

Scheduling & Cancellations
-
Sessions are typically 55 minutes.
-
To avoid a late cancellation charge, you must provide at least 24 hours notice in writing or by phone call.
-
Late cancellations/no-shows may be charged full session fee.
Fees & Payment
-
Fees disclosed before booking.
-
Payment due at or before session
-
Insurance: should I not be in-network with your health insurance, I can provide a superbill that will satisfy a claim you may make for out of network benefits.
-
Services rendered are non-refundable.
Minors (I am currently only providing services to minors in Texas)
-
Legal guardian consent required for anyone under 18 years old, unless allowed by law.
-
